The water abrasive suspension cutting process is a non-contact and vibration-free water cutting process that can be used to cut steel, concrete and many other materials up to a thickness of over 1 meter. A mixture of water and corundum sand with pressures of up to 2,500 bar is used as the cutting medium. The cut is extremely precise and only a few millimeters wide.
There is no change to the component during this cold process. As processing is free of dust, gas, smoke and sparks, this process can also be used in highly sensitive areas.
Ideal for all hazardous areas, WASS technology is ideal for use in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, for example.
